Diamond Coatings are exceedingly happy to announce that the new online specialist glass coatings store offering our full range of Uncoated and ITO Coated Coverslips/Microscope Slides; Conductive PEN/PET Films and more is now live - complete with easy-to-use, convenient and safe payment options.
Transparent ITO heaters consist of visually transparent substrates that have been coated with indium tin oxide, which is electrically conductive, at various sheet resistances. When exposed to a current passing through it, this coating generates the necessary heat to extend the operating temperatures of LCDs (liquid crystal displays) within cold environments. The coating also serves to anti-fog, anti-ice and de-ice optics/optical displays.
Holding specimens in place and flat, glass cover slips are specifically designed to protect specimens against contamination via accidental contact and dust. In addition, they effectively prevent contact between a specimen and the objective lens of a microscope and/or immersive liquids such as oil or water, for instance. High-resolution microscopy places crucial importance on the thickness; overall quality, optical and anti-static properties of ITO glass coverslips.
The most valuable asset of a cinema is the projected images' quality. Reel-to-reel projectors did not necessitate specialized port windows enhanced with advanced optical technology. Digital projection technology in use today, however, requires both new and old cinemas to install cinema projector portal glass with optimal light transmission and color rendition for both 2D and 3D digitally projected media.
Eminently experienced in the application of clear conductive and ITO coatings onto a wide range of plastic substrates and innovative, Diamond Coatings is renowned as a leading manufacturer of top quality vacuum coatings. Unique and flexible, our substrate handling system allows us to apply conductive coatings onto flat, injection molded or shaped plastic substrates.
Found all around us, on personal devices like laptops; tablets, smart phones and musical instruments and on a myriad of public applications like, for instance, the backs of transatlantic aircraft seats; information kiosks and cash points, touch screens now form an intrinsic part of our daily lives.
The addition of a new generation of top quality ITO coated glass slides, developed specifically with research/development laboratories in mind, to their range was recently announced by Diamond Coatings. Here is a brief run-down on what this new generation of ITO glass slides is all about and what available options are as follows...
Commonly referred to as polyester film, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film is a typically biaxially oriented or bubble extruded thermoplastic polymer. Their property balance in comparison to many other thermoplastic polymers means PET films are among the most commonly employed substrates within the converting industry.
Featuring outstanding heat stability*, tensile strength (220 MPa TD/MD) and elongation percentages (TD 110%; MD 130%), PEN (polyethylene naphthalate) film is highly transparent (haze 2%; total light transmittance 87%), smooth-surfaced and offers good resistance to chemicals.
